Our Junior C side suffered an undeserved defeat to Ennistymon in a Division 6 league clash in Lahinch on Monday evening. The first half was a low scoring affair with Miltown having the majority of the possession and defending well when under pressure. Two points from frees by Oisin McCarthy and one from play allied to scores from Paudie Killeen and Eanna O'Connor accounted for Miltowns scores while in reply the hosts scored 1-2 to leave the sides level at half time .
The second half continued in much the same fashion as the first with Miltown having the majority of the play but scoring chances were proving difficult . A great two point effort from Eanna O'Connor and points from play from Benny O'Reilly , Noel McGuane and Podge Deveraux gave Miltown a two point lead as the game entered the final stages, however an Ennistymon goal and a pointed free meant the hosts ran out winners by two points.
